Shine is an absolutely top notch gelding!! He continues to impress us more and more as the days go by!! This 7yr old gelding raced 29x and retired sound, clean legged (pin fired up front), and vice free. He last raced in January and has spent the majority of the year chilling in a field due to Covid, and then his owner/trainer getting sick and sadly passing away. With a fresh set of shoes and a new lease on life, Shine is getting ready to start his next career.... and this boy is truly going to ‘shine’!! We were blown away by his fantastic movement at Liberty... his trot is jaw dropping worthy. His freedom and extension through his shoulder is beyond impressive and so so so easy for him!!! He has a lovely, rhythmic canter. We were impressed by his form down the jump chute, but we did not ask much of him since he was exhausted by that point.... remember, this hunk has not been in any sort of work since January and is ultimately not conditioned at the moment. We didn’t want to push him or do anything that could hurt him! Stay tuned for more jump chute video soon though! Shine is very easy to live with and is an easy keeper. He is quiet and laid back. Not the spooky type. Some of the barn help at his last home enjoyed riding him around bareback with a halter and lead!! We think Shine is undoubtably upper level material!!
