Chili is a stunning gelding with loads of potentia!! he was a very successful Black Type stakes horse who most certainly has earned his retirement. Chili came to us in a little bit of rough shape... shoes ripped off, skinny, and covered in rain rot... but we could see through all of that! In the few weeks this handsome guy has been with us, he has gotten his feet done, had his teeth floated, had a chiro adjustment and acupuncture, was dewormed, and started on ulcer meds (we do that for all our TBs coming right off the track). He is gaining weight and starting to look much better, although he certainly still has some pounds to pack on still. We have to say, we were super impressed by Chili’s fancy movement at liberty!! This boy has a big step, with tons of reach out of his shoulder! We can see dressage folk swooning for him! He unexpectedly jumped a fence while cantering around at liberty and WOW... talk about scope! We haven’t yet sent him down the jump chute yet but we are expecting that to be nothing short of impressive! Chili has not yet been restarted since leaving the track. He is sound with no vices. He does have some old, set osslets up front, but we don’t expect them to bother him.
